People who are passionate about the kind of vehicles which require fast car insurance may be interested to hear about the choice of model of award-winning sailor Paul Cayard.The American has opted for a black Maserati GranTurismo and the manufacturer claimed the car would have appealed because as skipper of a yacht Cayard would appreciate the high-tech design, cutting edge materials and quest for optimum performance.According to the company, since its launch 18 months ago, some 3,700 drivers have got behind the wheel.Maserati stated the reasons for the model's success are obvious.It said: "Sleek and fascinating lines reveal a sporty car, powerful and brilliant, yet usable in everyday life with excellent handling and superior comfort."Cayard has been victorious in the sailing world championship on seven occasions, won the America's Cup five times and taken part in two Olympic Games.Earlier this month Maserati and Coys displayed three classic Maserati single seat grand prix cars alongside the GranTurismo S on the latter model's official debut on UK roads.
