Car insurance claims 'influenced by the stars'

A driver's likelihood of making a claim on their car insurance could be written in the stars, according to a new study.Research by Accident Exchange has found motorists with the star sign Gemini are most at risk of being involved in a road traffic collision.The group stated nearly nine per cent of the 115,000 claims it looked at had come from someone born between May 22nd and June 21st.Taureans - who are known for being stubborn – and Arians, who are considered to be adventurous, were also found to be accident-prone.Meanwhile, curious Sagittarians and quick-witted Scorpions were the star signs least likely to be involved in a collision.Psychological expert Philip Hodson said there was evidence birth date influences the type of career individuals opt for.He stated: "It's not too far-fetched to think that different driving temperaments may likewise be seasonally influenced."Earlier research by Accident Exchange revealed some 700,000 drivers hit a parked car and then drive away every year, leaving innocent motorists with a repair bill of approximately £1.25 billion.
