An insurance body has commented that a cheap deal is not always the best option for people looking for home cover. The Association of British Insurers (ABI) has stated that some of the less expensive offers on the market do not always offer add-ons such as risk extension or legal cover.
A spokesperson on behalf of the ABI commented that people around the UK should make sure they have a good look at the deals available on the market before settling for one.
"You want to be looking properly at your policy to see what cover you have for everything and not just going on price, so if anything happens you are completely covered," said the official.
This comes after the ABI recently told a leading newspaper that the average British person could save around 35 per cent on insurance by comparing five different policies.
When buying car insurance first check with your current insurance and see if they can give you a better rate. Once you have the lowest quote and if it not from the agency you already have, call up your current agency and tell them you are thinking of switching and see if they will drop the price for you.
