Competition invites drivers to show their fun sides

Motorists are being invited to show their fun side in a new competition from automobile manufacturer Fiat.As part of the Smiles Per Hour Design Competition, drivers are being asked to submit amusing and interesting ways to pass the time when travelling.The company is offering £50,000 to the winning entrant - an amount which can help people pay their car insurance and road tax bills.Suzi Perry, from The Gadget Show, reckons the competition is "bound to generate some fantastic prototypes"."We're famous in this country for our great inventors and I'm sure today's budding designers can match them all the way," commented the presenter.This news comes after Fiat's 500 supermini was hailed at last week's What Car? Green Awards.The ceremony was held at the Greener Driving Pavilion at the British International Motor Show at ExCeL London on Tuesday.
