A road in Devon has been criticised and labelled an "absolute disgrace", it has been reported.
The Midweek Herald states that the A30/A303 highways stretch close to Honiton has been called a "minefield of potholes" by councillor Stuart Hughes.
He commented that the problem area - between Monkton and Newcott Chef - is a danger to motorists, the publication adds.
It could be that the stretch becomes so hazardous that motorists end up compromising their car insurance policies by making a claim.
Mr Hughes believes that it is time that officials stepped in and sorted out the problem.
"Here we have the government's own Highways Agency who don't appear to care what condition the road is in and someone has to stand up and shout about it," he said.
The Islington Gazette reports that a black cab driver has complained about roads in the area damaging his vehicle.
Mark Thurbin, 39, said the highways were among "some of the worst in London", it added.
