Delays for Bucks motorists

A lane closure in Beaconsfield caused delays today, inconveniencing drivers in the area, in news that may be of interest to car insurance policy holders.Heavy congestion resulted from the closure of a lane on the A355 near junction two of the M40, causing queues of traffic reaching the Hotspur roundabout, one resident relayed to Bucks Free Press.Buckingham county council's local area coordinator Chris Schwier explained that the delays were a result of construction taking place on nearby services.Mr Schwier said: "We are talking to the contractors to see if we can alleviate that problem. Traffic was slow moving back to almost Amersham."In other car insurance news, an incident on a dual carriage way between Wigan and Liverpool resulted in delays when a motorist collided with another vehicle and crashed through the dividing barrier, according to the Wigan Evening Post.
