New Kia may tempt car buyers

More motorists may be inspired to take out car insurance policies for Kia models after seeing the latest addition to the manufacturer\'s range.

The all-new Sorento is due to be unveiled at the Seoul Motor Show, although it is not expected to be available to UK customers until next year.

Originally released in 2002, the company described the release of the model as a turning point in its history as people started to realise it was not simply a small car specialist.

The new version is longer and lower than its predecessor and Kia described it as having an athletic, sporty appearance.

Peter Schreyer, chief design officer, said: "The dynamic design of new Sorento adopts simple, linear lines to create a powerful yet polished appearance."

In terms of green credentials, the vehicle\'s CO2 emissions start at 173 g/km.

Kia recently raised the prices on a number of its models, but buyers may find they can reduce their running costs by searching for cheap car insurance online.
