People who drive for a living are more likely to behave badly on roads in towns across the UK, it has been claimed.
According to research from road safety charity Brake in conjunction with Green Flag, 74 per cent of occupational motorists admit to travelling at over 80mph on motorways.
In addition, six out of ten workers leave less than the required two-second gap between their vehicle and the one in front, the study showed.
Such behaviour could result in people being involved in accidents and subsequently invalidating their car insurance policies.
"We urge all drivers to stay within the speed limit and to be aware of the space between themselves and the car in front when driving," said Cathy Keeler, head of campaigns for Brake.
Meanwhile, the Times has reported that Specsavers is campaigning for more rigorous eyesight checks for people who drive for a living.
