Motorists who choose to stray into bus lanes during rush hour have been targeted by police in Norfolk, a local news source has reported.
According to the Norfolk Eastern Daily Press, officers have fined 105 rogue travellers £30 each over the activity.
People with car insurance may find that their policies are compromised in the wake of a motoring conviction.
The website stated that a further 242 notices were handed out in the two days previous, bringing the total amount reaped by the force to £10,410.
Kristina Fox, spokeswoman for the force, commented that the Lakenham and Tuckswood Safer Neighbourhood Team carried out the initiative at the request of local residents.
Sergeant Graham Dalton added: "The restrictions are there to ease congestion, encourage people to consider using other forms of transport and to provide cyclists with a safer route."
The Association of British Drivers has previously spoken out against bus lanes.
It claimed they increase journey times and create hazardous situations for motorists.
