People in the UK could find that they learn from the road safety issues of the past thanks to a conference set to be held next year. The Road Safety: What Have We Learnt? event is to be staged at the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool from February 23rd to 25th by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).It may be that car insurance customers in attendance pick up a few tips which help them stay safe on the road and save on their policies by avoiding accidents."We must particularly consider the fact that improvements have not been experienced evenly by all road users and some groups have fared better than others," said RoSPA head of road safety Kevin Clinton. This comes as Department for Transport statistics show that some 2,943 people were killed on roads in the UK over the course of 2007.
