Drivers speeding through two villages in Cheshire are to be targeted by officials in the area as part of a crackdown against the crime, it has been reported.
According to the Northwich Guardian, Marbury Road in Comberbach and New Road in Anderton will be monitored by officers in the region.
It may be that those who are caught breaking the law in such a manner find that their car insurance policies become compromised, as cover firms could choose not to offer them cheaper deals in the future.
Sergeant Peter Hough from Northwich stated that motorists could be a little too at home when driving in the area.
"I would like to remind everybody that statistics show a driver is more likely to have a collision in a five mile radius from their home because of an over familiarity with their surroundings," he said.
Comberbach and Anderton are both villages found in Northwich, which is located at the confluence of the rivers Weaver and Dane.
