Recent surveys have revealed that drivers are dicing with danger getting behind the wheel when stressed, with more than a third of motorists admit they drive more erratically when they feel stressed.
A shocking 4 out of 5 UK drivers admit to committing driving sins because they are stressed due to being late or needing to get somewhere quickly.
Over 30 million UK motorists have confessed to committing misdemeanours and taking unnecessary risks behind the wheel while stressed and in a rush.
Motorists have admitted to falling into the trap of deadly driving sins while stress levels are high. Breaking the speed limit accounts for 52% of drivers, while 20% of motorists admit to using a mobile phone whilst behind the wheel and a surprising 13% confessed to overtaking another vehicle in a dangerous way.
Only 10% of women admitted over taking another car in a dangerous way, whilst a staggering 25% of men have committed the same offence.
Men are also the worst offenders when it comes to using mobile phones while driving, 17% of women have used their handheld mobiles whilst driving compared to an astounding 29% of men.
Not surprisingly, men are far more likely to exceed speed limits while stressed and in a hurry - 71% have exceeded the speed limit compared to 51% of women.
Stress seems to be part of everyday, modern life for many but, when it occurs whilst behind the wheel, it can become lethal.
