Drivers who are considering downsizing in order to reduce the amount they spend on road tax, fuel and car insurance may find they can get a good deal from Toyota. From December 1st, the manufacturer has announced it will be passing on the 2.5 per cent reduction in VAT announced in the chancellor's pre-Budget report. It pointed out delivery charges and the cost of plates would also be lowered in light of the tax cut.As a result, drivers interested in the fuel-efficient, eco-friendly iQ will be able to save up to £240, with prices starting from £9,295.The model is available for order now and the first deliveries are due to take place in January.Alternatively, people looking for something bigger will be able to get their hands on the XT-R edition of the RAV4 compact SUV for £19,620.Meanwhile, it was revealed earlier this month that TV presenter Anna Ryder Richardson had taken delivery of a pair of Toyota Hilux for use round her new wildlife sanctuary.
