Two-thirds admit risky road behaviour

Two in every three motorists have behaved badly on the road in the past year, new research has found.According to the Daily Mail, a new Sainsbury's study has found that 41 per cent admitted to eating or drinking behind the wheel.In addition, it found that 17 per cent of motorists admitted to breaking the speed limit while travelling, while 18 per cent had driven barefoot.Drivers caught by police in the middle of such an act could find that they pick up increased car insurance policies in the future.A spokesman for Sainsbury's remarked that motorists can easily "become complacent behind the wheel"."Our advice is to stay alert and safe and don't allow yourself to be distracted," remarked the official.Last month, Sainsbury's warned that taking a car overseas for a holiday could prove to be a risk should drivers be involved in an accident.
