Volkswagen's (VW's) Touran model has won an award for being the best mini multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) of the year, it was revealed this week.The seven-seater was recognised by BusinessCar magazine for its wide range of features and versatility, as well as "rock-solid running costs".Tristan Young is editor-in-chief of BusinessCar and said in addition to its "great build quality", the fact it is now available as a lower CO2 vehicle is likely to be good news for users.It also comes with gadgets such as the Park Assist system and foldable seats."We are extremely proud to receive this award," remarked head of VW fleet services Vincent Kinner."Particularly as it was voted for solely by the publication's readership, which is such an influential group within the fleet arena," he added.Meanwhile, there were other winners at the BusinessCar awards that might be useful for car insurance customers.The Audi A4 was voted best business car of the year, while the manufacturer's A5 was also the recipient of a prize, taking home the gong for best sporting car.
