Police officers in North Wales are to hire superbikes to quell the menace of rogue drivers in the region.
The constabulary is to take out two Honda VFRs and two Honda Fireblades in order to help them curb speeding motorists.
Drivers caught out may find that they have difficulty taking out a car insurance policy in the future if cover firms consider them a risk on the road.
A spokeswoman for North Wales Police remarked that road safety is an important issue for the constabulary.
"We are very serious about tackling the causes of road casualties around the roads of North Wales," commented the representative.
This comes after assistant chief constable for North Wales Police Ian Shannon stated last week that the UK has fallen behind Europe in drink-driving legislation.
The officer added that officials in Britain should lower the limit to bring it in-line with the continent.
