Suzuki may impress motorcycle insurance holders

Motorcycle insurance holders may be impressed to hear Suzuki GB was the best-performing bike manufacturer in the 126cc-and-above category for the fifth consecutive year during 2008.

Figures provided by the company show it registered a total of 14,250 bikes.

Commenting on the results, Suzuki GB general manager Paul de Lusignan said: "Despite a tough market, we still managed to finish the year as leaders in the largest segment of the market yet again."

He claimed the company\'s success was down to great products, tempting offers and a proactive dealer network.

Mr de Lusignan concluded by thanking the manufacturer\'s customers for their support.

In 2009, two new machines will be added to Suzuki\'s line-up - the Gladius 650 and the GSX-R1000 superbike.

The first is set to arrive in showrooms in the nest few weeks, while the second will be made available in March.

In January, Suzuki announced it was extending its zero per cent finance offers until March 31st.
