Be Wiser Insurance Receives Award from Sir Richard Branson

Be Wiser Insurance chairman Mark Bower-Dyke and marketing director Andrew Dunkerley received their award at the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 annual conference and dinner, hosted by Sir Richard Branson at his Oxfordshire family home.

The exclusive event featured a Q&A session with Sir Branson, speed networking, a gala dinner and charity auction and was attended by some 200 distinguished guests and business luminaries. Guest speakers included Richard Reed, co-founder of lifestyle brand Innocent.

The Andover based independent insurance broker was awarded the title of 13th most successful private company in Britain by The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 – a network which champions the UK's top performing private companies, based strictly on financial performance, with the fastest growing sales over their latest three years.

The figures for Be Wiser Insurance speak for themselves. The FSA regulated company has net assets in excess of £1million. The company is one of the fastest growing personal lines brokers in the UK. For the year ending 31st May 2011, gross premium income had increased by a phenomenal 123%, up from £23.5million in 2010 to £52.3million. The company currently has in excess of 100,000 clients and expects to announce another growth year when its financial results to 31st May 2012 are produced.

Be Wiser Insurance keeps good company too, acting as agents for the likes of Zurich, Aviva, AXA and Ageas.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Mark Bower-Dyke, chairman of Be Wiser Insurance said: “Formally receiving our award at the home of and in the presence of Sir Richard Branson recognises all of our hard work over the past five years. This was a truly inspiring evening and it was great to celebrate this achievement in such style.”
