Be Wiser Insurance

It is easy to forget that whilst most of us are happily looking forward to the festive season, there are others who are out there planning to ruin it for the unlucky few. There are loads of ways UK drivers can make sure they are not hit by unscrupulous thieves over the holiday period.

The Association of British Insurers has issued a warning, here are their helpful tips:

“Try to avoid leaving presents sitting under the Christmas tree where they can be seen from outside by potential thieves.

Always securely lock all doors to your home even when popping to your neighbour’s for a quick drink.

Be aware of thieves and pickpockets who could take advantages of crowded Christmas shops and markets.

Do not leave Christmas presents visible in an unattended car.

Consider leaving a light or the TV /radio on when you are out, so burglars think that someone is in.

Be vigilant and keep an eye out for any unusual or suspicious behaviour in your neighbourhood.”

Make sure you keep valuables out of sight and we wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
