GOLDEN GIRL TURNER LANDS WOLVERHAMPTON FEATURE
 
It was ladies’ night in no uncertain terms at Wolverhampton on Saturday when the golden girl of the weighing room, HAYLEY TURNER, won the feature race of the day on the Godolphin-trained filly Dubai One. Turner revealed she will link up with the four-year-old’s trainer Saeed Bin Suroor in Dubai for the winter months, though Dubai One could emerge as a key contender for the Fillies and Mares Final on home shores come Good Friday.
 
MARQUAND OFF DOWN UNDER AFTER REACHING MILESTONE
 
Young jockey TOM MARQUAND rode a double at Wolverhampton on Saturday night to reach his first every century of winners in a calendar year. Marquand moved to 99 on the William Haggas-trained The Night Watch before reaching his milestone on Original Choice for the same trainer in the night’s big mile handicap. Marquand will spend six weeks in Australia with top trainer John O’Shea this winter.
 
FORMER DERBY HOPE BACK IN BUSINESS AT SOUTHWELL
 
Former Derby hope CORELLI goth his career back on track last week - on the Fibresand at Southwell. He hadn’t been seen in public since finishing third in the Lingfield Derby Trial back in May but John Gosden’s three-year-old returned to score a hard-fought victory in a mile and a half conditions stakes. He is likely to continue on the sand as the winter progresses and could prove a force in the better staying races.
