MASTER SWOOPS TO CONQUER IN LINGFIELD FEATURE
MASTER THE WORLD enjoyed a smooth passage when galloping to glory in the Listed Churchill Stakes at Lingfield Park last Saturday - a Fast Track Qualifier for Good Friday's valuable Easter Classic. David Elsworth's grey beat the unlucky favourite Victory Bond, who was badly hampered early in the race and didn't enjoy a clear passage in the straight.
GIFTED WINNER ON COURSE FOR SPRINT FINAL
Hugo Palmer's decision to campaign GIFTED MASTER on the All-Weather paid off instantly when the classy four-year-old landed the six-furlong Sprint highlight, the Listed Golden Rose Stakes - another qualifier for Finals Day. He broke well from a wide draw to collar trailblazer Caspian Prince under a masterful tactical ride by top jockey James Doyle.
JOCKEY HAVLIN ENJOYING PURPLE PATCH
ROBERT HAVLIN began the week as the leading jockey in the All-Weather Championships with 12 winners, achieved at a strike rate of over 20 per cent. Havlin, who only recently returned from a six-month ban imposed by French stewards, has partnered some notable winners for his boss John Gosden, including Derby entry Photographer who made a winning debut at Chelmsford City.
