Muffri’Ha wins the Fast Track Qualifier at Lingfield Park under top jockey James Doyle.

Lingfield Park’s Fast Track Qualifier for the All-Weather Championships’ Fillies’ and Mares’ Final was won for the second year by a Newmarket mare, while Champion trainer Mark Johnston claimed the Listed feature on a quality card at Kempton Park on Monday.

MUFFRI’HA BOOKS FINALS PLACE BUT PADDOCKS BECKON

MUFFRI’HA won the Listed Fleur De Lys Stakes at Lingfield Park last week for the second successive year and in doing so clinched her place in Good Friday’s £150,000 Fillies’ and Mares’ Final. However, with top class form on her CV, William Haggas’s well bred five-year-old could be off to the mating barn in the New Year instead! Haggas went on to win the other Listed highlight, the River Eden Stakes, with The Queen’s filly Daphne.

TITI TOO GOOD FOR OLDER RIVALS IN KEMPTON FEATURE

Champion trainer Mark Johnston sprung a surprise in the Listed Floodlit Stakes at Kempton Park on Monday when his TITI MAKFI outgunned a quality field of stayers. Partnered by Franny Norton, the three-year-old filly got the better of the higher rated pair Red Verdon and Dylan Mouth to make it five wins in 11 starts.  

PLY AND GULLIVER LOOK GOOD FRIDAY PROSPECTS

PLY confirmed himself a serious prospect for Good Friday’s Easter Classic when he completed a hat-trick in the valuable Middle Distance Series Final at Kempton Park on Monday. Roger Charlton’s progressive young stayer wasn’t the only horse to complete a hat-trick – a feat achieved by Hugo Palmer’s talented sprinter GULLIVER in the six-furlong handicap.
