O'Meara Globetrotter Clinches Final Place

Salateen produced a remarkable performance to win Wolverhampton’s big race of the season on Saturday, the Listed Lady Wulfruna Stakes, and claimed a guaranteed place in the £150,000 Mile Final at Lingfield Park on Good Friday. The trailblazer – also successful in Dubai this winter – did well to get to the lead from such a wide draw and held on to beat favourite Keystroke in a thrilling photo-finish.

NIMR MOVES STEP CLOSER TO LINCOLN BID

Trainer Richard Fahey and Qatar owners Al Shaqab Racing are hoping to claim Lincoln Handicap glory with the progressive NIMR when the turf season starts at Doncaster next month. The four-year-old quickened well to win Saturday’s Lincoln Trial Handicap at Wolverhampton and improve his chances of making the cut for the famous cavalry charge on Town Moor.

BAILEY DREAMING OF GOLD CUP GLORY

Veteran Newmarket trainer ALAN BAILEY is dreaming of victory in the Ayr Gold Cup in September with his sprinter Go Far, who bounced back to form in Wolverhampton’s feature dash on Saturday.
