Sir Michael Stoute, one of the most successful trainers in modern history, claimed All-Weather racing’s most prestigious prize for this first time on Saturday when his CONVEY took the Group 3 Winter Derby at Lingfield Park.

It’s been a busy winter for young jockey OISIN MURPHY, whose stint in Hong Kong was followed by two big handicap wins at Newcastle last week. He got Suzi’s Connoisseur home in a £50,000 contest before steering the rejuvenated Hamelin to success over a mile and a half on Friday.
