Be Wiser are delighted to be joining the Atlanta 1 group as a result existing customer policies will transfer to Atlanta 1 from the 30th April.   

Whilst this change does not impact the level of cover you have or the insurer that has underwritten your policy, we wanted to give as much information as possible so you can feel assured that you will continue to be covered in the same way.

Who are Atlanta 1?

The Atlanta Group is made up of a number of companies including Autonet and sister brands of Swinton and Carole Nash. All are part of the Ardonagh Group and offer a wide range of cover for businesses, homes, cars, vans and motorbikes, and are one of the UK’s largest Insurance Brokers

What has happened?

Be Wiser is delighted to have been offered the opportunity to join this successful and respected group. This move allows the Be Wiser brand to benefit from the resources and expertise of Atlanta 1 and to improve and develop the service Be Wiser provide.

Is my insurance policy valid?

Yes, your policy is not affected by this administrative change. Your cover will remain in place with the same insurer and the same level of cover. When your policy is due for renewal, it is always a good opportunity for you to check that your insurance still meets your needs, and to shop around to make sure the insurance you choose is best for you.

What if I want to complain or have already made a complaint?

If you have already made a complaint to Be Wiser, you will not need to do anything and we will continue to work with you to find a resolution. If you wish to make a new complaint about Be Wiser, please contact our Customer Care team on 0333 9990 838 who are open Mon-Fri 09:00 - 18:00 and Saturdays 09:00 - 14:00.

Do I need to continue to pay my monthly insurance premiums?

Yes. Your policy is not affected by this change and you must continue to make your payments to ensure the continuation of your policy cover. You will see a change of name on who is collecting your premium, your bank account or credit card statements will show that Atlanta have collected the payment.

I currently pay for my policy by Direct Debit; what will happen to my monthly payments?

The instalments will continue to be collected as before and you do not need to do anything, the only change will be who is collecting your premium, as above, your statement will show that Atlanta are now taking your payments.

I have an outstanding claim, what should I do?

Your ongoing claim will not be affected and will be dealt with in the normal way until it is closed.

If I need to report a new claim, who do I need to contact?

You should contact Be Wiser in the usual way - you can find out more on our Claims page.

My policy is due for renewal, what do I do?

We will contact you in advance of your renewal date to provide you with the details of the cost of the cover for the coming year and to remind you of the details of your cover based on the information we hold about you. It’s important to check this information when you receive it. Don’t worry, we will remind you in the renewal letter we send to you.

Can I make an adjustment to my policy?

Yes, your policy is not affected by this change and can be adjusted in the normal way. Our telephone numbers will stay the same and you will still have access to the customer portal.
