Those warming up for the Be Wiser Insurance PGA Hants Masters Championship will be pleased to know they have the support from a veteran of the game.
Martin Smith, the PGA Head Professional with 26 years service at Rio 2016 gold medallist Justin Rose’s childhood club, said:
“It is a big bonus for us.”
Hartley Wintney golf club offers a real challenge for local professionals. Smith also offered a warning to the difficulty curve of the course:
"It is a tale of two nines. You need to set your score on the front nine as there are some seriously difficult holes on the way back."
The 125th anniversary celebrations at the club begin tomorrow, 23rd August 2016
Mark Bower-Dyke, Chairman of Be Wiser Insurance, offers some further support:
"It's wonderful to be able to support such a talented field of competitors. While not everyone playing on Tuesday will be a gold medallist, we expect everyone to put in a great performance."
