Unbeaten filly Marie D’Argent wins the French Fast Track Qualifier for the Mile Final at Easter at Cagnes Sur Mer last weekend.

All-Weather Championships Season 5 action took place in France last weekend when Cagnes Sur Mer staged a qualifier for the £150,000 Mile Final, while a stellar field is gearing up for this weekend’s Group Three Winter Derby.

UNBEATEN FRENCH FILLY CLAIMS MILE FINAL TICKET

French filly MARIE D’ARGENT extended her unbeaten record to four by winning last weekend’s Prix Saonois at Cagnes Sur Mer – a Listed Fast Track Qualifier for Good Friday’s £150,000 Mile Final. Ridden by Nicolas Perret and trained by Frederic Rossi, she swept to the lead inside the final furlong and connections indicated they are keen to bring her over to Lingfield Park come Easter.

O’BRIEN RUNNER AMONG DERBY CONTENDERS

UTMOST, who won the Listed Winter Derby Trial earlier this month, is among a stellar entry for the Group Three showpiece proper at Lingfield Park on Saturday. John Gosden’s front-runner is joined by Irish raider Clear Skies – a first ever runner in the race for world record-breaking trainer Aidan O’Brien. Last year’s winner Convey is also expected to make his first appearance of the year in a race that is also a Fast Track Qualifier for the Easter Classic.

NOTHING RECKLESS ABOUT OSBORNE WINNER

Trainer Jamie Osborne and jockey Dougie Costello combined to win the feature sprint handicap at Lingfield Park at the weekend with outsider RECKLESS ENDEAVOUR, who was produced with a late charge to claim the prize for owners The Melbourne 10. Fans of favourite Reflektor were out of luck, however, as a spread plate prevented him from taking part. He may seek compensation at Wolverhampton on Monday.
